About Kopi Bar & Bakery

Kopi Bar & Bakery is the project of Chef Nora Haron, bringing Indonesian-Singaporean flavors to Berkeley with a distinctly Californian sensibility. Located inside the Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA), the cafe is open to the public with or without museum admission.

Nora is a seasoned baker whose resume includes Tartine Bakery and Blue Bottle Coffee. At Kopi Bar, she draws on her heritage to create a menu that is both familiar and adventurous: avocado coffee, calamansi olive oil cakes, sambal mushroom sandwiches, and sourdough bread built on a starter she has kept alive for over a decade.

Every item reflects Nora's philosophy of bringing people together through food that tells a story. The cafe sources sustainably, wastes little, and serves as a gathering place for the UC Berkeley campus community and beyond.
